Automatisieren & „blind“ spielen
Automatisieren bedeutet etwas so oft zu wiederholen, bis es wie von selbst – eben „automatisch“ – läuft.
Das schaffst Du am einfachsten, wenn Du die Übungen nicht nur vom Blatt, sondern auch immer wieder blind spielst und kleine Abschnitte auswendig lernst.
Das „blind spielen“ geht recht schnell wenn du zu den mp3-Tracks übst. Also: erst vom Blatt spielen, dann mit mp3 und zum Schluss — Augen zu und losgrooven!
Automate & play by heart
In drumming, to automate means to repeat an exercise over and over until you’re able to play it “automatically”. It’s also called ‘playing something by heart’. The best way to achieve this is to memorize small parts of an exercise and not look at the notes.
Playing along the mp3-tracks is really helpful, too. So, first play at sight, then groove along the mp3 and finally close your eyes to play the exercise by heart.
