Beim Halftime-Feel (Half X) wechselt man in einen Groove, welcher den Eindruck erweckt, als würde man “halb so schnell” spielen“. Der Grundpuls pro (4/4) Takt sind dann halbe Noten, also zwei Taktschläge pro Takt. Um den „halb-so-schnell”-Effekt zu erzielen, spielt man die Taktschwerpunkte bzw. den Backbeat (Snare) nicht mehr auf die ZZ 2 und ZZ 4, sondern nur noch auf die ZZ 3.
„In Four“ bedeutet einen Grundpuls von vier Taktschlägen.
„In Two“, „Half X“ oder „Halftime Feel“ bedeutet Grundpuls zwei Schlägen pro Takt.
Half Time Feel Grooves seem to be played “half the tempo”. The basic pulse in a 4/4 bar then changes from four to two beats or half notes, i.e. two beats per bar. To create this “half the speed” effect, the Snare backbeat is played only on count 3, instead of 2 and 4.
„In Four“ means a regular pulse of four beats per bar.
„In Two“, „Half X“ or „Halftime Feel“ implies a pulse of only two beats per bar.
